The Cove is an online connection tool designed to help HCN members and regular attenders get connected to the life of the church. It is a database that integrates with our church records. You will be required to login.
The Cove provides its members 24/7 access to their membership information. All members who wish to access their information can create a login. Once you register, you can:
- view the church calendar
- register & pay for events
- give on-line
- view individual names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails
- update your own profile with a new address, phone number, email address, or even your family or individual picture
All change requests are considered “pending” until an HCN Cove administrator approves it.
How to create a login
Simply click on the link below to register as a new user, and then click “Sign Up”. Enter your email address along with your first name and last name. The Cove matches email addresses we have in our database so be sure to use the email we have on file for you. Also your name has to match exactly. If you are in our database as “William,” then using “Bill” will not allow you access. If no match is found, a message will be sent to the administrator who will send you an email with your username and activation link.

Q: Is The Cove secure?
A: Yes. The Cove is a secure site that is supported through Breeze a church management software. They host our information on a secure data server that is subject to routine audits to ensure the safety and privacy of our data.
Q: Who can see information on The Cove?
A: Only registered users have access to this information via a password. No one else on the internet can see it.
Q: What if I don’t want my personal information to be seen by other HCN Cove users?
A: Go to your “Privacy Settings” under the Settings tab within The Cove and choose the appropriate individual and family privacy preferences. The Cove default is to allow others to see your address, phone number, or email address in order to encourage our connection to one another. However, if you prefer that others not see this personal information, you can uncheck these boxes on your “Privacy Settings” page.
Q: What if I lose my password?
A: Send an email and request a password change. HCN’s administrators cannot see user passwords – they are private to users. We can only reset them and send them to users. The first time you log in using the new password you will be asked to change it immediately.
Q: Can I reset my password?
A: Yes. Go to the SETTINGS tab within The Cove and choose “Username/Password”. Your new password will take effect immediately.
Q: How do I get to The Cove login screen?
A: Click HERE for The Cove login screen for HCN users. We encourage you to save it in your favorites. You can also save it on your desktop. Once your browser is open to the website, click on the “Page” menu in Internet Explorer, select “Save As. . .”, rename the file as “The Cove Login” and save it on your desktop.
Q: I can see my giving history. Is this private?
A: Yes. Only you and the Financial Office staff can see your giving information. No other Cove users can see this.
Q: How do I update my personal information?
A: From the Home page in The Cove, click on “view profile” or at the top right-hand corner under your name. From here, you can edit your individual or family profile, set communication preferences, update your privacy settings, and lots more. To upload or change a picture, click “edit profile” in the right-hand column and proceed to “Photo” and click “Browse” to upload a photo from your computer. To upload or change a family picture, click “edit family profile”.
Q: How are user changes approved?
A: The Cove’s administrators approve all changes submitted by users. If we have any questions about proposed changes, we will contact you by phone or email.
